Our App
What is the FusionSolar app?
The FusionSolar app, developed by Huawei, lets you monitor your home solar photovoltaic (PV) system in real time, check production and view basic environmental benefits easily from your mobile phone.
Overview
- Click into your house/ plant solar PV system. In the Overview page, we see your plant’s energy flow diagram. The PV circle (“17.790 kW) shows instantaneous power as sunlight, shade and operating conditions change from second to second. Power is being recalculated continuously.
- Hence, seeing 17.790 kW spike, then 15.000 kW and 18.000 kW over a minute is normal for a live solar plant; for ‘how productive the day was, look at the kWh numbers instead of the instantaneous kW.
- For home consumption: the FusionSolar app does not track home daytime electricity consumption but only the full PV system production. To find out your home daytime consumption that month, check your SP bill to find out how much solar electricity was exported. The difference is the amount consumed by your home in the daytime that month. (FYI: All excess unused solar electricity is being exported instantaneously in the daytime if not consumed by your home).
- Arrow from PV to Grid: you are exporting surplus solar.
- Arrow from Grid to Home: you are importing from the grid because solar is not enough.
- Yield today shows total energy produced today from midnight till now. This kWh will be higher on sunny days and lower on cloudy days.
- The Revenue section is only an estimated dollar value on today’s solar production, based on the electricity price you/ we set in the app (click on the 4 dots at the top right corner → click ‘Plant Settings’ → click ‘Set Electricity Prices’ → input ‘Feed-In Tariff’ and ‘Purchase Price’). Important reminder: this is only an indication; your actual bill savings and export credits follow your retailer’s tariff.
Services
- The ‘Services’ is where you find tools, tutorials and support for your solar system.
- For anything related to your home system performance, billing questions or on-site issues, you may contact 9 Solar Home first at homes@9solarfintech.com.
Statistics
- Under ‘Statistics’, you will have your daily, monthly, yearly and lifetime overview of your solar production since commissioning. Taller bars = better solar days. Very low bars usually mean heavy rain, shading or overnight hours.
